Massage Therapy
Targeted, therapeutic work that reaches the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, breaking down adhesions, relieving chronic tension and restoring freedom of movement.
About This Treatment
Deep tissue massage uses slow, deliberate strokes and firm pressure to reach the deeper layers of muscle fibre and fascia. Unlike a relaxation massage, the goal is to break down adhesions, areas of rigid tissue that cause pain, inflammation and restricted movement. It also works by temporarily interrupting pain signals sent to the brain, which is why many clients feel genuine relief during the session itself.
This therapeutic treatment effectively addresses back pain, neck tension and postural issues common in office workers and those with physically demanding lifestyles. If you have been carrying the same tension for weeks, months or years, this is the treatment that can actually shift it.
Our therapists often blend deep tissue work with myofascial release and trigger point therapy within the same session, adapting the approach to what your body responds to on the day.

FAQ
Deep tissue work can involve some discomfort, particularly in areas of significant tension, but it should never be truly painful. Your therapist will regularly check in with you and adjust pressure based on your feedback. Many clients describe the sensation as "pleasantly intense", and the relief afterwards makes it well worth it.
This depends on your condition and goals. Some clients feel significant relief after just one session; others benefit most from a course of 4–6 sessions, particularly for chronic conditions. Your therapist will give you an honest assessment after your first appointment.
We recommend drinking plenty of water, avoiding strenuous exercise for 24 hours, and having a warm bath if you experience any post-treatment soreness. Some mild soreness the next day is normal and a sign the treatment is working.
Deep tissue massage is suitable for most people. However, it may not be recommended if you have certain conditions such as blood clots, osteoporosis, or very recent injuries. Our therapists will assess your suitability during the consultation. If in doubt, contact us and we'll advise you.
