Holistic Care
GOsC-registered osteopaths who look beyond the symptom to understand the whole picture — delivering hands-on care that restores balance, relieves pain, and gets you moving freely again.
About Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a regulated, evidence-based form of manual therapy that treats a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. Unlike treatments that focus only on the site of pain, osteopathy considers your whole body — posture, lifestyle, medical history, and movement patterns — to identify and address the root cause.
Our osteopaths are fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) and take a genuinely holistic approach to care, considering your general health, lifestyle, and personal circumstances to create a treatment plan that suits your individual needs.
Techniques include soft tissue massage, joint articulation, high-velocity thrust (HVT), myofascial release, and cranial osteopathy — selected and blended based on what's most appropriate for you.
All our osteopaths are fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council — the statutory regulator for osteopathy in the UK.

FAQ
Both are regulated manual therapies, but osteopathy takes a more holistic, whole-body approach — treating the person, not just the injury. Physiotherapy tends to focus more on exercise rehabilitation. Many clients find osteopathy particularly effective for complex or chronic conditions where a single-area focus hasn't worked.
Most osteopathic techniques are gentle and comfortable. Some techniques (such as HVT joint manipulation) may produce a clicking sound and a brief sensation of pressure, but should not be painful. Your osteopath will always explain what they're doing and obtain your consent before using any technique.
This varies greatly depending on the condition, how long it has been present, and how your body responds. Acute conditions often respond within 3–5 sessions; chronic conditions may require more. Your osteopath will give you a realistic estimate after your first appointment.
Yes. Osteopathy is safe and effective during pregnancy, and can provide significant relief from back pain, pelvic girdle pain, and other musculoskeletal symptoms associated with pregnancy. Alfie Munding specialises in pregnancy-related care.
